AC:R Whats with the 4 bloody GB update?

It's a pre-puchase copy from Steam, havent finished it just yet, and when I reinstalled the game into Steam again (from my back up purpose external harddrive) Can't find any description from Steam news about the 4GB update. And I pretty sure this is not a pre-purchase bonus offer..... I assuming Ubisoft ♥♥♥♥ing forcing me to installed the DLC in my Computer?!

Any one care clarify?
