Have the mechanics of the sniper rifles changed that much

I can see that a lot of polishing has been done to the game. It's essentially just a modernized version that I am hoping is a prelude to the actual sequel. My issue is that I have been watching many of the demos, trailers and uploads over at youtube and other blogs and haven't seen one person zoom in with a sniper rifle.

I asked this in another forum and have yet to receive any response.

The sniper rifles from the first game allow you to zoom in to a point. Obviously if you are 130M out you can't zoom in as much as if you were only 30M out. A bit more realism but I am not sure if that mechanic has changed or if that is a failure or difference between the 360 and the PC. I am used to the ballistics and other facets of the game like holding your breath/exhaling and so on that end Hitler does NOT stand a chance. This is going to be more of a challenge. I've heard that the graphics aren't all that but compared to the original any improvement is going to be huge. I have a 2500K, 8GB ram and a 570 Classified. This is going to get messy.

Other than that slight concern I will own that game at 12:00:01 a.m. the day the game is released. I honestly can't tell you the last time that I bought a game so near the release. I usually don't ever pay more than $20 for ANY game but this is different. I am beyond excited.

Any ideas?

your questions are a little hard to understand

but I will try to answer them anyway. In sniper elite 1, you could indeed zoom to a specific point with the mousewheel. In sniper elite V2 this is no longer so, when zoomed in, you are zooming in with medium magnification, you can roll your mousewheel back to get low magnification, if you roll your mousewheel up you get high magnification. It's only these 3 settings, and not the precise level of zoom you could achieve in sniper elite 1.

Inhaling and exhaling has been changed. in Sniper elite 1 it would only steady your zoom, in Sniper elite 2, it will steady your aim, slow time a little and increase your zoom a little.

I'm owning it as well at 12:00:01 4th of may
