To be fair all these old P&C adventure games would be good as Special Editions.

Me too but most of the titles (if not all) work fine under Scumm VM.
Titles like DotT don't really need a SE yet cause they still look fine. Yeah, a bit pixelated but not as close in need of an SE as the Indy games or MM.

But whatever SE Lucas Arts comes up with next, I'm buyin'!

A little off topic but I enjoyed the old Sierra adventure games too, despite them being very unforgiving. Space/King's/Eco Quest were all great and provided many frustrating hours as a kid before the days of online walkthroughs.

Also, both of the Indiana Jones games are already on steam (heck I own them,) so while a special edition would be nice it's not super important to me.

Maniac Mansion sucked?!?

WOW. Somebody just trickled all over my teenage memories MM is one of my favorite games on the NES, dude. I would KILL for an SE of that (if I wasn't a pacifist, LOL). Seriously, though: no flame or offense here, just a WTF...

But the offered you a key to switch between old and new graphics
at any time in the game. And they did not change the story!
The SE projects are not very well produced.
At MI 1, i had sound issues, at MI 1+2 the graphics were changed
from realistic to comic style, to fit the laters games.

I would wish they remake the classics, but only by getting the
resolution to a modern level, or to make it more realistic looking.
And adding better sound and speech thats up to date.
But comic style = no way

I hope we get a DOTT remake, because then we could play MM too.

Yes. But IJ4 has a priority.

Premise - the greatest adventures of all times:

1. MI2
2. MI1
3. Some Sierra elites(Quest for Glory 3&4/King's Quest 6, Laura Bow 2, Gabriel Knight 1&2)
4. Indiana Jones 4
5. Discworld Noir

Therefore, as far as LucasArts is concerned, do a Indiana Jones 4 remake, then DoT, then The Dig.
