Preparing to launch loop

Heya, Red Faction: Guerrilla problems here.

I had this game running for a while earlier today. I tried launching just now and I end up with the 'preparing to launch Red Faction' window, which essentially closes and opens continually before disappearing. The game doesn't run.

I have tried restarting Steam, and I have also verified the game cache to no avail. Any ideas?

Yes this is a steam problem sometimes, not RFG

Quit steam completely.
Go into steam's install dir (usually program files / steam) and delete the file clientregistry.blob then restart steam, all should be well.

Thanks! I deleted the file and all is well. Weird that it was only RF I was having problems with.

It happens to everyone eventually, no one knows why, just how to fix it!

forced a steam update after i did that, too...

i try deled this register.blob but not work ,my firewall is Off and i verify my caches and not work plz help.
