Arrow Poorly named?

you makers do know that a mcguffin is a sometimes random item of importance you need for a quest right? is that what this game is named for? because that's what I would expect with this name. I was just curious.

Hi Yuko,

Thanks for your curiosity! We were pretty aware of what we were doing with the name when we came up with it, in fact we changed it from a previous title because we thought this one would be more fun. MacGuffin can be used to represent many things, from a plot device, to a random collectable of little worth. You might say many games suffer from the curse of these macguffins, but hopefully we steer clear of this, for the most part =0).

I must say though, that the title of this thread is a little poorly named. It could almost be seen as some form of trolling though I'm sure that's definitely not the case!

Thanks,
Andrew

yeah this is deliberate (i think) because you are right what a mcguffin is and George Lucas always goes on about it and how important it is to have one in a movie, so the entire name of the character is probably not random

And here I thought that the poorly named thing was looking at the" Curse" aspect of the title... I mean really, he can change back and forth at will, he has full control of his mental faculties (including speech) and he gets a lot stronger when he's hairy... I think people in the videogame industry these days need to learn what a curse really is. ;D

Nope not meant to troll. I was just wondering. If you guys named this game without knowing what a mcguffin was, and the game didn't include an actual mcguffin it would seem poorly named. If I WAS intending to troll my subject line would look more like "This game is poorly named! it sucks." lol
