HL2MP dedicated server prob. after last update

I have been running a HL2 deathmatch server. I noticed it was out of date so I shutdown, ran the update, restarted the server. The console comes up like normal, but then quickly disappears before I can read any errors.

I built a new server in a different folder from scratch and have the same result when I try to launch.

Any ideas??
