Games for windows live SUCKS

SO I've been having problems with Games for windows live for quite some while now, the problem is that i can't use the newest version of the program for my games. Because the newest version seems to have problem to launch, and leaves my games chrasing before i get to open them.

SO i use a old version. But then again im unable to logg into my windows live ID, or i'm able to logg in, but somehow i'm asked to update, and if i do that the games crashes on start. So i can't possibly do that.. So i stop the update and get tossed back into the logg in screen, each time.. I can never logg in so im forced to play a game without any online content or be able to SAVE THE GAME, and to be honest when the game is already running inside steam why do we need games for live? I mean really a single player game like batman shouldn't even have that settning.. I know it's somewhat a xbox game but i'm not playing on a xbox now! (And i take games for live like some of xbox gaget or whatever)

So im tired of this, i just want to play bishock 2, dead rising and my batman game. So any suggestions for me what i can do? Please go ahead!

i am befuddled this being my first GFWL game i had no issues i say dont update or try a manual updater

Don't try to update. Just delete GFWL and download the latest version direct from MS. I haven't had any issues with GFWL since doing so back in December. GFWL even updates properly for me now.

Never had an issue with GFWL, but yes, I agree, GFWL sucks.

It's an abandoned consolish and limited system lacking too many PC gaming features.

I've been downloading the newest versions of it, but it does not seem to work for me.. But if you think you got a link to a website to a version that is up to date and works. Then go ahead and send it over, i will try it

Lol tell me about it. Account managing site has no PC support, even if i try to change something they instruct me to do it on Xbox "i do not have XBox and never will, if you have GFWL all tie to XBox then leave PC games alone and let the steam handle things !!!!"

Oh balls I didn't even know this used GFWL....I've never been able to get it to work on this PC...tried everything every time I try to play a game or just open GFWL it crashes or just opens and FCs without an error....

Yet another game i need to play on the laptop. =(

Have never had a issue with GFWL and have always keep it uptodate. And no it does not suck it works just fine and I have just about every GFWL game there is!

GFWL runs on my machine, but I couldnt download updates/login ingame, because my MTU-setting was set to 1300 instead of 1492. If you have the same issue you might want to check your registry and router for the correct MTU.

If GFWL itself crashes, the Microsoft-Support-Sites could help because this is clearly a sole GFWL program issue then.

Having problem upon problem with gfwl and this game. bought during summer sale and yet to actually play it. by now I wouldn't mind just getting my money back.

Yeah, the old version that steam bundles works for me, but then it won't run because it "needs to update", then when I update it doesn't run >.>

the only problem ive had with gfwl is steam giving me a dodgy key. thats the last 5 yrs.
just do what maddogge says.
i dont get the hate for it. apart from steam fainboism
