HL2 look up and down option stuck on mouse

Hi-

First time using the forum. I have a Logitech 3D Pro joystick and I have the look left/right assigned to the joystick. The look up/down and strafe are not switching to it. I am wondering if someone knows how to get it to function.

Did you enable the joystick in your options menu? Try messing around with those settings if you haven't already.

The enable joystick option is in the mouse settings menu

When you say 'stuck on mouse' the keyboard, mouse and joystick should all work at the same time. The mouse looking up and down should work, and (if the joystick is enabled) if you move the joystick controls for looking up and down it should work too.

On my system the mouse works fine, but "+lookup" and "+lookdown" do not work on the joystick D-pad (POV) or the keyboard. However looking up/down with the analog stick works fine. [I have a $15 'Game Elements PC Recoil Pad' from Walmart.]

This may be related, but "centerview" and "force_centerview" do not work on the joystick or the keyboard.
