Can't view achievements for botanicula?

It only shows the number of achievements i got but i cant view which, anyone have the same issue? Also steam overlay does not work.

Yep, it happens a lot on the first days since the release of some games. It should be working fine soon.

Yes, this happens usually when the game is not "officialy" on sale yet (and hasn't' got its own forum section and steam page)

Overlay is probably not going to work, as the game is made in Flash.

The Achievements work now. Still missing some. Might have to play it a 2. time

The only thing you have to note about the flash is that tab and shift+tab are dedicated hotkeys for highlighting clickable items (Which doesn't work in all instances, sadly). This means that shift+tab will toggle the highlighting feature in flash games rather than bring up the Steam Overlay.

What you -can- do is remap your overlay hotkey within Steam's config. Once you do that (I went with F11), the overlay will begin to work. I tested this on Machinarium with success. It still, however, does not work for me with Botanicula for some reason, and it's been out for days now.

Steam only Achievements.

There are no achievements in the game itself.

This is my only game on Steam where I recognized there is no Steam overlay support at all (my key is mapped to F12), but not only that, you cannot see you get achievements while obtaining them. Don't really understand what's the point implementing achievements then? Only way if you go to your Community pages after the game and search there. An other thing what is also strange: some of the achievements have exactly the same name. Really. What... the...

Btw this thread should be under Botanicula, nothing to do with Machinarium. Any mods see?

the reason this thread is here is because it was posted before Botanicula had its own forum.... although it would make sense to move it

as far as the Steam Overlay goes, it usually does not work with any games running on Adobe Flash or Adobe Air. However, if you run the games in a window instead of fullscreen then you will probably see the achievements pop up

1000 amps is a Flash game and overlay works flawlessly
