where to start coding tf2 mods

hello

i'm a PHP programmer and recently i have been interested in making tf2 mods.

my main question is , is there tutorials or wiki , or any source of information that i can learn from ?
any video tutorials ?

for a start i would like to make melee mode or something , any advices or tutorials ?

p.s where is the correct forum i can ask question about coding tf2 plugins and mods?

The source code for team fortress 2 is not released, and only parts of it are available in the source sdk base. However if it's a simple modification sourcemod might be what you're seeking for.

also , how big mods like tf2ware , FW , and other big mods are have been made if its not fully released?

After doing a single google search for TF2Ware i found this. It leads to alliedmodders forums, which is dedicated mostly for sourcemod and amx.

All the things you see in tf2 are not really mods, they are plugins, usually for sourcemod. I too have created custom gamemode, but they are not the thing you are looking for in steam forums, that's what alliedmodders is for.

The documentation for sourcemod is in the page i've posted earlier, just check the sidebar. Also people in forums can help too.

Also considering you are only familiar with php, it might be difficult to adapt to sourcepawn, which is heavily based on c++.
