Keyboard and Mouse Issues

Hi, I recently pulled out an old computer of mine, and while playing Counter Strike Source, my keyboard and mouse will randomly stop working. If im holding down the A button, for instance, when my mouse and keyboard stop working I will continue to walk left, even if I unplug my keyboard. I have tried unplugging and replugging them back in to see if it resolves the problem but to no avail. I have to hold the button on the front of my tower to turn it off and back on.

Sometimes it takes 20 minutes sometimes 2 hours it just depends and it doesnt seem like anything is really triggering it.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem or has anyone had it happen to them? The keyboard and mouse are both the older plug-ins not USB it would really be appreciated if someone could shine some light on this.

E: I am running windows xp
Motherboard: A-Open i865gm-7L
GFX: ATI Radeon 1300 256mb
1 gig ram

Thanks
