Question Any advice would help!

Hi, I'm planning on buying Garry's mod but I don't know what source game to get. Should I buy Half-Life, CSS, or the Orange box?(or any other)
Thanks!

Oh and a question off topic:

Why can't I log in to my old steam account? Is the steam servers down or something?

Are you using the right password? Has your account been hacked/banned or suspended in some way? Is the game actually on the computer you're using at the time?

As for Gmod, the most resources will be available in Counterstrike Source and the Orange Box. There's a CSS/Gmod bundle I think, so I strongly suggest wait for a sale and pick up both OB and the bundle, and you're pretty well set.

Thanks! Yes, I know it's the right password, but I'm not sure if the account has been hacked or banned. I've contacted steam support, so we'll see what they will come up with

BTW Good tip for the Gmod!

When Steam puts their things on a lower price. That's called a 'sale' and usually the prices are very good. Though if you're not in the US I'm not sure what kind of better deals you would get.

All the time. They have spring, summer, fall and winter sales and sometimes for other reasons. So there is usually something coming soon.

Plus if you wait a bit, Gmod 13 may be closer to release.

They're in beta now, so hopefully by summer. Cross your fingers. I don't have beta myself, might check around to see some of the folks posting here about it and ask them about how far along it is.
