notes on map

I've just starting playing civ 5 again after a long break. When I was playing before I thought there was a hot key to add a note or a flag on a tile on the map, but I can not remember how I did that nor can I find any reference to that on the web.

Is there a way to do that, or am I *remembering* something that doe snot really exist?

I guess I must be mistaken. Maybe I cam confusing CIV and another game.

Civ4 had it, and it's a feature I miss.
