Achievements Not Working

I did a 100% complete run of this game and enjoyed it immensely but I had an issue with multiple achievements not unlocking.

The achievements that did not unlock were: Complete Organic, Complete Ocean, Complete Mechanical, and Complete Electrical

I obviously beat the bosses of each these areas as I completed the entire game and even have the achievement for doing so.

Anyone else having this issue?

It was exactly the same for me. Completed the game, and unlocked the achievement for doing so, but those 4 worlds were still locked. Apparently the GFWL achievements just don't work very well (at least not in this game).

FWIW, I tried something I found online (for a different GFWL game) about removing a game save file, in order to get the other achievements to unlock. Didn't help at all. I eventually played through the entire game again and now all of the worlds show as unlocked in the list in the game, but my profile page on xbox.com still shows those 4 worlds as locked. <shrug>

I only had issue with the mechanical zone achievement. Although still i hope Fuel Cell is reading this and hopefully give us an update on whether they are planing on fixing it. Hopefully Toy Soldiers fairs better when it come out.

Oh and yeah I like GFWL...haven't have any real issues other than achievements being a little glitchy.

Damn... again? This happened in Virtua Tennis 4 for the main career mode. Thank god the really hard achievements weren't glitched!

I have only played a small amount of 'Insanely Twisted...'. I won 'complete organic' but then it vanished. Strangely enough it appears as 2 achievements unlocked (20G) in my games list, but when I open the actual game to see the list of achievements, there is only one.

It's kind of deterring me from playing more... I'll probably start from the beginning after the next update, if there is one.

Ha! Same here. Same worlds. I remember seeing them come up even, which is kind of weird.

Same, beat the game, saw "Complete Mechanical achievement unlocked", but it's not unlocked

Some here. I'm in half of the game, and Organic and Ocean didn't unlock.

For the love of... how hard was it to make the achievements work right? Wasn't that the whole point of using GFWL?

Now delete it then when you launch & play the game again re-earn the locked achv it should pop ok. Until you do this the achvs will appear locked in the GFWL guide but on xbox.com server side they will not be locked then once you unlock that achv it will all correct itelf! All you are doing is deleting a local GFWL temp file this makes no change to your online GFWL profile until you re-earn the locked achv legit then it corrects itself locally to show all achvs unlocked syncs up with the xbox.com server & fixes it.

Think its caused by a network timeout when you unlock an achv & its noy fully dropped the connection to GFWL/Xbox servers so the achv unlocked data goes nowhere.

He/she seems pretty knowledgeable on the whole thing.

That may be what I tried. I'm not sure. It was a few months ago. If it was, it didn't work, but my situation is also different from what they describe. They said "the achvs will appear locked in the GFWL guide but on xbox.com server side they will not be locked". After I completed the game the first time, 4 of the world achievements were still locked in the list in the game _and_ on xbox.com . After I completed the game a second time, those 4 were unlocked in the game, but they're still locked on xbox.com <shrug> Annoying, but not really important.

*sigh* same thing for me with the "mechanical" achievement, although it is the only boss that handed me my ♥♥♥ a few times. Game probably didn't feel I deserved it... /fluke victory

I've gotten some even weirder errors. In fact I remember the achievements "Complete Mechanical" and "Complete Electrical" unlocked when I played it last night, but they're gone since I relaunched it.

I just tried that, and it's worked, but now even though I have all the story related achievements, up until "Complete Electrical" (which is how far I got), yet I don't have "Complete Mechanical" (which is before Electrical)... so rather annoying.

I can imagine that when I unlock "Complete Game", "Fully Loaded", "Explorer" or "Archaeologist", one of those won't synch either. I'm not restarting this game all over again.

I remember when I had a Steam achievement that wouldn't synch with one I earnt in-game in Tropico 4. Someone on a forum had posted a small 1 kb notepad document that allowed Steam to re-synch immediately. Isn't there anything like that that can be done?
