[SSF4AE] Damage/Scaling/Life-bar Calculator (Working progress)

Hey guys. I've spent some time making this calculator which I hope you will all like. It's an Excel 07 spreadsheet, so I hope most of you have it! I'm no programmer.......yet .GREEN is the color which indicates the cells you lovely people can change. If at any point you have something against the color green, you can try changing it but I don't think it will work. I've locked certain cells so that you don't accidently delete the monster forumlas I've had to enter! Have fun.

What this damage calculator includes
  • Combo scaling
  • Vitality scaling
  • Full cast HP values
  • A full life bar, with accurate damage representation
  • Counter-hit damage

What this damage calculator isn't
A link/chain calculator (Don't add in consecutive damage values if you're not sure they will combo into eachother)

What I intend to add for future versions
  • Full movelist (which will replace the method of entering damage values manually)
  • Individual hit-marks on the life bar (so you can see the effect of each attack, and of course the scaling involved)
  • Super "Gained" Bar
  • Stun-o-meter
  • Block/chip damage representation

(don't fall for the "download" advertisments!)

FAQ:

Q: Does my shoryuken (that hits 3 times) count as 3 seperate attacks?
A: Nope, it comes under 1 attack. However there are some rare exceptions when it comes to specials, like Yang's slashes, which are individual attacks and thus are susceptible to combo scaling.

Q: What is the combo you've included already?
A: It's Evil ryu's b&b starting with a jumping HP and finishing with a HP shoryu into U1. I put this in just to prove how pointless it sometimes can be to combo into an ultra. This is why Yuns always ultra FIRST after they have hit-confirmed into the Genei Jin.

Q: I entered a value for a focus attack on 1st hit, but the overall combo damage just seemed too high for me.
A: Don't forget, Focus Attacks and Ultra Combos actually count as 2 hits. So make sure you leave a space AFTER you enter this FA/UC value. In this case, enter your next damage value on the 3rd attack.

Q: So how does combo/vitality scaling work?
A: http://www.eventhubs.com/guides/2009...et-fighter-iv/

Q: When I click the "X" to close excel only one window closes???
A: That's fine. Click it again, and providing you haven't saved, it should retain its dual-window format next time you open it.

Q: Why did you make this?
It's often nice to see how much your combos will affect the life bar of certain characters, and whether it would be best just to go for a reset on some of them. I'd imagine this would be useful for the likes of Desk who seems to always want his crazy combos videos to finish with a K.O on the very, very last hit (for extra style points) . Reason no2, I was REALLY bored at the time ^^

Even though I put the eventhubs website in the FAQ, here's damage scaling in a nutshell for those who don't know:

Combo scaling:
  • 100% damage for first and second hits of a combo.
  • 80% damage for third hit.
  • 70% damage for fourth hit.
  • 60% damage for fifth hit.
  • 50% damage for sixth hit.
  • 40% damage for seventh hit.
  • 30% damage for eighth hit.
  • 20% damage for ninth hit.
  • 10% damage for tenth hit plus.

Vitality scaling:
  • At 51% health or higher there is no damage scaling.
  • 50% health damage scaling is 95%.
  • 25% health damage scaling is 90%.
  • 15% health damage scaling is 75%.

Both scaling mechanics are simulated in the calculator I've made.
