Hey, I turned off my computer last night and went to bed. The next day after I come home from school, i turn on my computer, and it beeps constantly in big red text "POWER CABLE NOT CONNECTED TO VIDEO CARD"....that doesn't make any sense as I can see lights on the card in my case when I turn it on. The card is a 5890 radeon. It had better not be ♥♥♥♥ing dead because I just bought it barely two months ago. Thanks.

If the power cable is connected to the video card, remove and replace it. If the issue persists, find some spare parts (GPU; PSU) with which to narrow down the cause.

Lights or not the first step is to check your cables/connections to the card. It's possible that vibration or thermal expansion has caused a contact issue and re-seating the plug may resolve the problem. Always try the simple things first.
Failing that, further troubleshooting would then be necessary to determine if there is a fault with the card, power supply, etc. |

Please note that 'further troubleshooting' does not include poking around inside the PSU. If in doubt, replace the suspect part(s).
Diagnosis in such cases is probably best left to experts with heavily insulated gloves and hefty insurance policies. |
