The right stick, "look around" controls are giving me trouble. If I let go of the stick the aiming reticule slowly drops to the bottom of the screen. I have to push up on the stick slightly for it to remain in one position. This makes if very difficult to press action buttons with my right thumb. I have tried taking the battery out, restarting the game, etc. It always does the same thing. Any ideas?

Is this part of the gameplay mechanics or is this a problem only I am having?

Yea I thought ok good a fairly simple game I can sit back and use my controller with. Haha yea right. The mechanics are jack for controllers for whatever reasons. As further episodes come perhaps they'll patch this.
Played with KB/MS and it was fine, no problems. But yea with controller the LOOK movement is not only slow, but when u let go, the reticle returns to center on me. What a PITA. U kinda have to get used to how different it is with a controller and be ready to guide your cursor with LOOK to the right spot, without running out of time if it's a crucial part where you (or someone else) could die. |

I'm using these steps from Win7. If you're not on Win7, there's still these settings, but I don't know where exactly to go reach then. * Go to: 'Control Panel' -> 'Hardware and Sound' -> 'Devices and Printers' * Right-click on the gamepad controller you're using and click 'Game Controller Settings'. * Click 'Properties' * Click the 'Settings' tab. * Click 'Calibrate...' From here, follow the instructions to calibrate your controller. It's not the best UI, but it gets the job done. Once done, take a look at the 'Test' tab and see how the X/Y Axis box looks when you play around with the left stick. That's the key to making sure you're not drifting. |
