Unhappy Quake II - mouse will suddenly jerk for a few seconds?

Hey all
I've got the Quake II Ultimate Patch and I have a bit of an issue; Everything is fine really until at some random point, the mouse will suddenly jerk around, essentially becoming overly sensitive for a few seconds causing the camera to spin out of control like crazy.

I used to have this issue a few months ago, but one day it just disappeared. It's now back after I purchased a new GPU and uninstalled my previous GPU drivers.

Does anybody know what could be causing this? I also run Windows 7 if that helps anything.

Thanks

The game doesn't cause that, your mouse does. What is name of mouse you're using for the game right now?

Some years ago, I experienced having the same problem with my mouse that is made by Microsoft. I figured it out that the mouse's performance was lousy by swapping with other mouse and it worked.

I actually use a Razer Mamba.
Oddly enough, I never considered that it may be the actual mouse itself [considering the issue was only with one game, and it eventually disappeared, but came back.] I guess I'll try updating the drivers of it, if that helps!

Hmm, try placing your mouse on a pad that has various pattern or a gaming mouse pad. Without reflection.
