Non-steam servers?
Do steam/valve not care that people run cracked servers? They say it is illegal yet they don't do anything. I mean the game is old but it is not free. Are person's able to report these servers?

I don't think the servers are illegal, considering that the server software is free. So reporting these servers is useless. It's the connecting pirated clients that are illegal.
I guess Valve could remove this kind of servers from their listing, but their focus is on the Source engine. So this may be the reason why they didn't introduce a black listing on Goldsource (HL1 engine) yet. Last edited by pizzahut: 04-27-2012 at 07:38 AM. |

So going out of your way to host a cracked server for these people is ok? Seems a bit strange to me.
