Steam Overlay?

I've opened the game a couple of times, but the Steam Overlay doesn't seem to load. Is there a trick to it, or is it unavailable for this game?

Ok, right click the game in your library and go to properties. Then go to launch options and type in "-opengl" this works for most games that dont usually use the overlay
