I dont see it because I use small mode but it annoys me when I open something in steam and have to deal with that nonesense.

As much as I love the new comment notification feature. It's a bit annoying. Please make it possible to disable comment notification, or which comment notification we get, specifying which user, etc.

That annoys me.

Because sometimes these comments can be hilarious to read. Well specially if you're a Moderator and you might end up with plenty of rage comments from various parts.

You can mark every comment as read quite quickly as well. So it shouldn't be that annoying.

I like this feature because before I'd miss people who post on my profile about something rage worthy so I can't comment in time and they stop caring.

I'd say you guys make this little problem to a much bigger one than it is.

not fair , it annoys me does not matter how big or small it is real.


I can not ignore the green envelope even if my life depended on it , I never had comments enabled so I really dont want to know about them.

Just found this thread after some googling - I commented on a popular Skyrim mod in the workshop then later realised I would be receiving notifications for eternity.

This needs to be fixed Valve - I should be able to unsubscribe from this.

I don't mind notifications when someone comments on my profile. But notifications on additional comments on something I happened to post on in the past? That's a little much. The little green notification is on nearly all the time now- it means nothing to me anymore.

Some options on what to be notified on would definitely be nice.

I think that is only annoying if you are eager to receive something(Steamgifts?)

Therefore it's not annoying, just a small box that makes Steam look cooler whenever there is something you need to know.

This is specially annoying in trading when you comment on some guy's profile giving him +Rep and then you get spammed 'til the rest of your life for trades he is making. Imagine this x50.
