Cheating is hardly a cultural thing, it happens world wide. Having been admining servers for various games since 1999, I've banned IP's from all places imaginable.
And generalizing an entire region based on the actions of some is still racism.

Not really trying to out-right argue with you, it is all a matter of opinion after all. I just have a low tolerance for racism, or statements that border on it and tend to be vocal about it. Don't take it to heart.

I wouldn't say it if I didn't think what I've been observing is right. Of course there are cheaters everywhere, but most people think it's highly immoral. In some cultures a lot of people don't think cheating in a game is immoral, because it's just a game. Same with sports, some countries have a lot more trouble with athletes cheating with drugs than others (not that I know which ones in particular). Not saying that every Russian is cheating, but most cheaters are certainly Russian. That's a fact, at least within in this region of the world.
I think it would be ok to let them have their own servers or something, all the time VAC does nothing. There's so many Russian players anyway, that it wouldn't do no harm to anyone, but their cheating wouldn't be a problem all over Europe.
Seeing as you live on the East Coast in the US you wouldn't see this of course, but everyone I have spoke with about the game have been telling me what I'm saying here.

Edit: If you HAD to be 18 years or older to play these games, like the players they are actually made for, there would be less cheats too. I don't know a single person over that age who could possibly cheat in a game.

The game is still fun when you get into a rare instance where there are no hardcore cheaters. I mean, I can deal with wallhackers... at least they aim on their own. It's the aimbots that suck the fun out of it all.

As for the location of cheaters... I am sure it's all over the place and you can't really pin it on a single race/region/nationality.

Either way, I have no problem with someone posting their observations about where they think most cheats come from. In fact, it could lend itself to an interesting conversation/debate.

demand better games and stay away from games that need to have a new version every year or so , hype creates cheaters.
money talks.

Just because I live on the East Coast US doesn't mean I haven't encountered players from all over the globe. My UT99 clan had both an US and European based clan server, as our clan had users spanned as far as West Coast US to nearly Russia. Being an admin, I had to patrol both when others couldn't, regardless of my ping time (which I admit was a problem when filling in for European based players in matches hosted there, then again they had to deal with it when playing matches based here).

Then again, that was ages ago, and our HL2DM/L4D2 server never really got much foreign traffic. Entirely different games with entirely different player bases/server set ups as well, so perhaps that comes into play.

I recorded the match without sound, so I added music so people aren't there just listening to air.

I'd have added something better, but it was the only non-copyright infringing selections from youtube's video editor that came even close to matching the scenario. The rest were jazz and country songs.

I went with the lesser of 3 evils.

Ok, I am a level 80 and I am no noob. The hacking has never been worse. It's like they were targeting the steam free weekend. You can't find a 'ground war' game that doesn't have AT LEAST one hacker in it. How hard is it to find and ban these guys? It's INSANE the number of hackers. Valve/MOW3 people, someone, just log on and actually play for 10 mins. They are everywhere.

This is one of the stupidest things I've heard all week, and that includes this week's "My fish cheated and I got banned pls fix or I sue pls" posts in the VAC forum.

Just tried it out and after 3 games I give up. I got bored of bf3 because its a hackfest. Atleast in this you can do something to confirm it.

Cheaters are ruining MP games as much as devs are right now. It blows tbh.

In all honesty I disagree. The ear told me so.

when you play a kids game, you get childish behavior in copious amounts. no anti cheat system can be that good to deal with every 12 year old living in the western world.

Thanks, though.
All the people saying that BLops was full of people throwing hatchets across the map are full of it. Over 20 hours spent and I've only seen ONE kill with a hatchet. So, I believe cheating isn't as bad as they say it is. What did you post, one video of one match? One match doesn't mean the whole game is full.
