The perfect Deagle sound + animation

I know this is an unusual thread and I don't usually get excited over a custom sound or animation, but this combination is mind-blowing.

Seriously, if you like the Deagle, try these addons out:

Animation: Desert Eagle Re-animated

Sound: Realistic IMI Desert Eagle

Note: The sound is for CSS, but it can be used for L4D2, too. Here's the pre-made vpk addon if you're too lazy to do it manually.

The Deagle becomes approximately 9000 times more satisfying to use; it actually sounds and feels powerful. I just finished playing two entire Expert campaigns using nothing but the Deagle; it's that amazing.

Also, check out the rest of arby26's custom animations; most of them are way better than the originals.

It's amazing, because it's a one-hit kill weapon.

...Not because of your overzealous skin or sound.

Yep Arby's custom animations are so much better than Valve's defaults that I use all of them except the AK47. The only critisism is the draw animation where it is slightly too long so you can shoot whilst it's performing the animation but even then Valve's default animation for the Deagle have this problem as well.

I think his animations are usually WAY too motionful. Giant movements in a vvery short time, that doesn't make sense.

that is because he has to adjust the timing to the exact fps of default animations, to be compatible with multiplayer, is not his fault if this game has hyper speed reload for shotguns for example

And is far better than STATIC and HUGE default pistols/deagle, that REALLY doesnt make sense

well maybe he could make smaller movements instead if like that rubber thing on HR. i like his deadlge2 animation, but the gun is to small there

Do these work in an actual online game or just singleplayer?

All his weapon animations work completely fine offline (Single-Player) AND online.

Also, most weapons skins work well online too (since sv_pure seems to be broken atm).

Even if it could one-shot kill a tank, it wouldn't change the fact that the default Deagle sounds and feels terrible.

It also doesn't help that the default Deagle (along with the majority of guns in the game) is positioned a matter of inches from your face, effectively blocking a significant portion of the screen (varies depending on your resolution).

For me, these tweaks to weapon position, sound, animation, etc. make the game so much more enjoyable.
