Steam uninstall

So I had to uninstall steam and re-install. I have a suggestion: When we uninstall steam make an option to leave game files and just uninstall the steam framework.

I just lost 200+ games because of a steam crash that I was unable to recover from. Really really really jarateed off right now.

You could simply backup games with "Restore & Backup" before uninstalling.

They already gave you the option, it's your fault.

Oh god damnit, all my god damn saves are gone too. WTF. I've had these game installed for over 4 years and I've only ever replaced my boot/os drive and steam would re-install perfectly.

So tell me oh wise and all knowing smart one, if I cannot start up steam, how do I back up and restore?

Copy the steam apps folder? Thats how I do it.
