What is the point of this thread in the first place. Only two got in via it (Some guy and his kid). Entering to chance to try it out bit earlier, makes it easier to wait.

the editor is sp-only at release and they hinted that there would need to be a beta or some kind of testing of the coop features when they get implemented.

Hi! I'd also like to be testing the Portal 2 Beta, and I'd like to test the level editor.
Although my nickname is GravGun, my account name is veh_novice.

I currently have around 351 hours of Portal 2, but in reality I have more (Steam doesn't count hours when stating P2 from Hammer).
I also have 143 hours of Portal 2 mapping, and a lot of hours of HL2 mapping.
Hours by themselves doesn't mean anything, so let me tell you a thing: I can't even see a leaked map, or a map with misaligned textures. I love DETAILED maps.

I haven't really done anything worthwhile with Hammer or anything, but I can always look out for dem bugs, right?

I don't think they're doing the beta anymore (correct me if I'm wrong) bit it's 9 days before the release date, so they're most likely just wrapping things up.

I cannot overstate how much I would like to test the map maker. But if that's not possible, that's fine too. I'll just have to be patient.

Ooh, I might as well try. I'm really excited for the puzzle editor. (I tried Hammer a few times, but I'm really bad at it. Especially lighting.)

I've never done anything with hammer, but I enjoy making maps and generally do a very good job (when the editor is simple). so.. uh.. please pick me for portal 2 beta? only made a forum acc so I could post here... dont know if you'll need my norm name if you or not, but my acc with all my games on it is "orphred"

I'm guessing its too late to be given the Portal 2 beta since the puzzle creator is due on May 8 but I'll give it a try anyways. I do have several years of Hammer experience but I wouldn't call myself an expert at it. I have entered both the Artpass contest hosted by www.tf2maps.net and the Summer Mapping Initiative hosted by www.thinkingwithportals.com.
