Can using mods in terraria get you steam banned?

AS the title says? I've heard of mods being developed for it, but I dont want my steam account being banned in case it detects a modified exe or something. Unless it doesnt affect the exe? I'm not sure so i thought i'd ask.

Steam doesn't detect any modified exes. What you might think of is VAC, but Terraria doesn't use VAC? I don't think Terraria uses any anticheats at all.

VAC isn't used on Terraria so I doubt you'll be banned for it. There is also this where the modding scene is getting bigger on Terraria as well. I doubt it would be big if it got people banned.

Just check the modding section on the Terraria homepage.

Well I think you should ask TerriaWiki to remove this disclaimer - just to prevent them from giving the warning when it's not been verified.

I don't think people care if you use mods. Take Minecraft for example: Mojang has heard of mods ever since Minecraft was 1st made. Mojand doesn't care, why should Steam?

If Steam has a problem with Terraria Modding, they should speak up on it. I haven't heard them speak up on it, so I assume they don't mind as long as noone releases any Mod designed to do anything malicious.
