I paid for a code for Two Worlds 2 from them. Waited for hours for them to send me the code. Sent emails, took a long time for them to reply finally with a code.

The code will not work on Steam. It looks like a regular game activation code.

If that is the case do you know where I am supposed to download TW2 so I can try this game code and hopefully finally play the game?

You're not supposed to download it anywhere. If you need the game files buy the game and not just a key.

tacc, I have bought game codes before that activated fine on Steam.

So they sold me a code that can not be activated on Steam. Horrible first time customer experience with. Any time I have bought a code from somewhere it worked on Steam until now and I received better quicker service from every other game sales company.

Nobody ever said that every code for every game is supposed to work on steam.

As I have always advocated, cd-key shops are very very dangerous to purchase from. This one is based out of China so of course they couldn't care less once they've effectively stolen your money.

Note many such games have lots of technical issues liek VPN activation updates breaking the game, etc.

Also note that such companies can effectively hijack the game or your entire account as well.

Two worlds 2 isn't a Steamworks games so to tacc's point, there was no real expectation of having teh game activate on steam.

Next time buy games off of Steam or other Steam authorized resellers. You've noted how 'saving money' is not really 'saving' you anything. Consider it a lesson learned.

I wouldn't encourage the OP. It's a shady cd-key shop based in china with a server in Germany. You'd most likely be live chatting with some street bum they're paying 10 RMB a day to type in random stuff on a keyboard.

You should probably add it to the list of filtered URLs along with other cd-key shops

Yes, I contacted them by live chat and they are supposedly sending the problem on to a manager. I know the key will not work with steam. I already stated that the code does not work with steam.

Everytime I bought a code before the code activated on Steam. Due to that the thought did not cross my mind that the code I was buying from **ZAP** would not. I did not know codes were sold that did not activate on Steam. The page said nothing about anything but purchasing the code. Codes have worked for me on Steam in the past.
