CS 1.6 demo player or fixes to steam

I already made a topic for source on this.

Apparently old demos from 1.6 are also unplayable. Anything from 2006 and 2007 I tried does not work.

There are 3rd party demo players out there that I found after researching last night. I don't know if these are illegal however. Most can get you VAC banned. So I would not even take the chance to use those at all.

Why can't Valve just make an external demo player themselves.

I have CSS demos from 2004-2007 and 1.6 demos back from 2003.

I just want to watch them and make a movie.

The only way to do this currently is a 3rd party external demo player or a fake copy of the game.
