They'll eventually support it, but they'll leave it at that.

Don't think they'll support Metro though, it's just an insult to complex PC usage.

You can't run on Windows RT without being Metro, unless you're Microsoft.

Valve may make a Metro interface for Steam. But Steam will not be available on Windows 8 ARM devices.

And there is a massive amount of APIs blacklisted in the name of security, making it a even bigger no, unless you are MS.

I'm just happy the Registry APIs are gone.

Pity System.IO.Path.Combine is too.

Oh well, seems the sanest solution for Metro: is to rewrite Steam in .NET/Mono.

Oh yeah, I thought there was restrictions in Metro on creating child processes (ie for Steam DRM).

Steam for Windows RT would have to be a companion application, such as Steam Mobile on iOS/Android.

I guess once things start getting made for that metro ui, I guess alot of us will not be gaming. Unless MS fixes that thing there calling windows 8 and gives us the proper function we've had for years and years.

No companion APP, i want Steam for Win RT and Steam Classic for X86.
You want only xbox Store for gaming in WinRT ?
