rage.exe is not a valid win32 aplication

Ok, everytime I download Rage..(Over 5 times now) I get the above error message. So then I go to verify the files, and I always get 1 or 2 files missing. I have absolutely no idea where to go from here......Suggestions??? BTW, I I also contacted Steam Support about this issue, but know one get's bak to me...

Is your version of Windows completely updated?
