Any chance of seeing Battle for Middle Earth on Steam?
Since EA lost the LOTR licence, I'm wondering if WB Games can rerelease the series on Steam and other platforms.

I don't believe they can, since I'm fairly sure EA still owns the franchise, just not the LotR bits.... I'm fairly sure a bunch of legal crap is keeping it from happening*
That and you can find them new still if you look, found copies of the anthology just now for 10 dollars. Oh, and no servers makes RTS games sad. |

That would be LotR: War in the North. Yes, it activates on Steam. Battle for Middle-Earth is an RTS from 2004 that is not available on Impulse, and I really doubt we'll be seeing it on Steam anytime soon.
That was a great game, though. Takes me back a few.... |

I would like bfme 1 and 2 on steam as well. I looked all over the place trying to find a copy but nowhere has it anymore, not even ea. Only place i have seen it on is amazon from private sellers and they are selling it for like $100 and up, no way in hell i would pay that.
I played the demo for it back when it first came out and loved it, i really regret not getting it back in the day when i had the chance. |

WB has shown a willingness to put out a variety of Lord of the Rings games recently, so hopefully even if they can't get the IP from EA for cheap they can make their own Lord of the Rings RTS in that same style.
And I just checked Amazon and while expensive for such old games, the first is $27 and the second is $37, it is the expansion that is horrid, $54. |

Im looking at my copy of BFME 1 as I type. Got it from a co-worker who mentioned playing it years ago so I asked if he still had it and now it's in my hands. I sold my original copy that I bought the day it was released on ebay. The biggest regret I have ever had.. well this and getting married.

I haven't finished bfme2, the start of the game looked different from what i remember then #1 so i put it aside till i got witch king but still haven't played it. LOVED the 1st game.thinking of hooking that game up to my 3 monitors next time. |

Yeah! I really miss that game so much. I used to play it all the time, until I forgot my password and EA couldn't get me my password back or make a new one. Really sucks. So yeah I REALLY hope steam will get BFME for us fans!
