Red face Invited by Group Booster | NEZYKS PROJECT

Can someone at Valve can ban those damn bots spammers please?

An example: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198062650097

I occasionally get random invites to groups that I don't recognize or know anything about. I generally just get annoyed and ignore them. It would be nice to see an anti-spam system in place to prevent things like this however.

Steam should never let this to happen, still it doesn't look like getting fixed. Steam users should not be able to send invites only to their friends.

The best is empty Steam accounts (without games) can send invites too for everyone. Easy to set up bots to mass spam legal users - this lasts for long time ago. Steam technically supporting spammers.

I have done some work into these "spammers", although I do not run one, and yes I agree this needs to be taken care of.

Same, I got invited 3 times by those guys. A "No" once isn't enough??

I'ld like them to be banned, bots like that multiplying => annoying more and more people.

Suggestion: put an hourly or daily limits to the number of people you can invite.

Did you receive any invites from them recently? If yes, do you remember when and to which group?

It’s not possible to disable bots.
