So I made some weapons to put in my HL2 mod and they work fine, but I've got a problem with the animations..
For XSI to complile, everything must be one mesh, so I can't make different keyframes for two specific parts of my weapon (say the Mag and the Body for the reload animation) I've been told I needed to use bones, but I don't know exactly how they work.. Could anyone explain how to make these bones and how to attach them to different parts of the weapon? |

Look up some youtube tutorials for animation basics with bones in XSI. These are the basics, you need to do some study to proceed.
