Just thought I'd chime in with my experience with this game under Windows 8 Consumer Preview build. Gonna do this for all the games I try out on Steam so people have an idea of what's going on. Feel free to chime in with your own experiences/fixes.
TL;DR: Works. Kinda. Crashy. Fired it up, intro video and audio desynched a bit, lots of vertical tearing, but I remember the lack of vsync from my previous playthrough, so that I expected. Video froze a couple times. Menu was nice and smooth, game started out alright... but for some reason the metro desktop kept butting in and I'd have to wait a few seconds for it to go away before the game would spool back up. This went away after about ten minutes. First play lasted about 40 minutes, pretty much incident free. The game crashed without any real cause or trigger. Fired it up again, played for 20 minutes, crash. Fired it up again, played ten minutes, crashed. Started it up in XPSP3 Compatibility mode, played seven minutes, crashed. So, it WORKS. Just not very well.
