Instant deaths
So, I remember that Valve was boasting that almost never would you be insta-killed like in other games. I came back to TF2 today and got insta-gibbed a lot. What essential has changed since before tf2 going free?

Spy checking has become a lost art. So has telling your team about the spy you just saw.
Finding a competent pyro who can use airblast can be a real challenge. Finding a medic who knows to run in front of the guy they're ubering against a sentry is next to impossible to find. Free users love to stack snipers. Who doesn't love a team of 16 with 5 snipers? |

id say random crits but those have been there forever
besides that i cannot think of many things that can kills you in 1 hit, i know if you are a scout the direct hit will instagib you at close range as well as any other light class, the loch and load can do the same, the machina has become the object of much criticism for being able to 1 shot demos and pyros when fully charged, any other sniper rifle can also kill light classes with fully charged shots and of course fulled charged headshots kill anything besides that, i guess nothing |

Only things are backstabs, headshots, crit rocket and stickies, multiple stickies, multiple spam of anything, and probably close range crits.

Just the direct hit and the locknload if you're a light class. And the caber but that's a melee weapon.

because unlike cod, you can survive more than 2 bullets from a shotgun from 300 feet away. and quickscoping with sniper rifles is only good if you headshot.
