Fat Larry is gone?
FYI, I'm using UP+ 8.0
I went to the alley beside Confessions. I know I've seen Fat Larry there before, talked to him, etc. I didn't buy a weapon, so I didn't get the Traffik quest. I went back to where he was later in the game, and now he's not there anymore. I was going to do the trick where you sell stat books and buy them back, and I read that Larry is the safest since his inventory won't change. So...what happened to Larry? Is there some magical console incantation that I can type which will respawn him? |

Larry disappears due to a basic/plus patch switching bug in 8.0. Please try this console commands __main__.Find("Larry_basic").ScriptUnhide() or __main__.Find("Larry").ScriptUnhide()

Sorry, but then you can't do anything about it. You might try the updated beta2 released today, which also fixes the book issue, but then updating Bloodlines during play is always risky...

I've installed an update patch but it seems that it didn't fix the problem (I guess because I'm using a savegame from previous patch version).
So, um, fiddling with the console I've found a possible workaround: Code:
> larrrrr = __main__.FindEntitiesByName("Larry_basic")
Code:
> larrrrr[0].ScriptUnhide()
> larrrrr[0].SetName("Larry")

Thanks JazzRus! You just leveled up my Computer ability
![]() I started a new Malk campaign with the UP+ 8.0 beta, and Larry was there as expected (alley beside Confessions). So it's working. But it's still nice to see how console trickery is performed. |
