Multiplayer population count?

Just looking for a recent count of how many people are playing multiplayer. Since it's currently on sale I imagine more are playing. Before the sale how many were?

EDIT: I got the game anyway and there was about 200+ people on and a ton of full games so there's definitely people always playing this. Multiplayer was fun too.
