Steam Big Picture to be demonstrated at E3 (confirmed by Gabe Newell)
Gabe mentions that Valve will be showing off their 10' UI (10 foot User Interface) at E3 in an email to a fan.
http://www.anythinggeek.net/2012/05/...uncements.html For anyone who doesn't know what the Big Picture is: http://www.steampowered.com/steamwor...bigpicture.php I'm SOOO excited . I've been waiting to use this on my HTPC since it was announced early last year.

Wow! That's great... I have a 54in TV I play on and I have to get off the couch some times to read details in steam. So when is this rolling out?

So...is this only for TVs? I really hope it's for monitors as well, with adjustable font size...because the text on my brother's 2560x1600 monitor is microscopic, and me using Steam on 1080p isn't that great either.

That would be cool if they also did a visual update to the current default skin.
There's a already some custom skins out there that look better than Steams default so I think it could definitely be improved. |

I would imagine that you would also be able to use it on a monitor if you wanted to. I don't see how the software would be able to tell a TV apart from a monitor.

Good, I'm still not really sure what "Big Picture" is. Hopefully this will help.

How will you connect this to your TV? Through HDMI cables like people currently do?

Connect your PC up to your TV however you currently do it (HDMI, VGA, Component, etc...) This could also be used with your monitor if you prefer it. |

I am still not sure how this is going to work. I hope that this is not merely a new interface designed for controllers.

It's simply a larger interface... there's nothing else to it! Man some people are so dense!

I hope this means that I can finally view the store in widescreen mode with a bigger font. Getting bored of having to squint at the TV just to make a purchase.
