NEC - Acela Express Scenario

Hi! Has anyone completed this scenario and received the green tick?. I've done this several times and the pop-up messages indicate that the scenario ran correctly, but no green tick. In the analysis, I find that 2 station did not pick up passengers. I found this to be Metropark Track 1 and Newark Penn Station Track 2, and when I checked the World Editor, could not find a reason.
Anyone have some insight into this problem? Cheers; Chuck F.

I've also tried this scenario a number of times, and it seems, well in my experience, you have to stop at each station. After first picking up passengers from where you begin.

Within the 'Green' marker area, and at 0.0 miles, for it to register a pick up. at 0.1, distance or above, yes you can still load passengers, but it doesn't register as a complete pick up on the debriefing.

I've also found it hard to stick to the timetable. Even doing 143mph in an 80mph limit, or 125 in a 45 limit, and arriving 90 seconds early, you still leave late, due to the idiot passengers taking their time boarding.

They must be idiots, its raining like hell, and most of em are in their shirt sleeves!

Not specifically this route/scenario but there is definitely a difference between timetable runs and stopping points.

Some scenarios seem to allow you to get away with stopping only a few coaches on the platform and some allow you to run late. While others require you to be inch perfect and bang on time.

I prefer the more flexible ones in general but some are too generous such as giving you a green tick when you have overshot a platform and only loaded passengers on say 2 coaches of an 8 coach train.

Hi! Your info is correct. However, I did stop at 0.0 and was about 1 minute late. Is the time table on that scenario that critical? Cheers; Chuck F.

Timimg is a problem with this scenario, at least it seems to be, I've only ever completed it once, and got a green tick. Unfortunately, if you stick to the speed limits its not possible to get to Metropark before the deadline of 19:15 due time, 19:14 ETA.

So I don't. Also after leaving Metropark, no matter what time you get there, you will leave late, due to the slow boarding of passengers. You can make up a bit of time, by setting the reverser to about 75%, the throttle to 30% and keeping the brakes on 75%, releasing them the moment you get the message passengers have boarded at the beginning of the scenario.

I generally watch the passengers via the camera view, as soon as the doors shut, moments before you get the all clear to go message, then release the brakes, then cancel the 'you can go message'.

Then I jumped to the view from the cockpit and use a mix of expert controls and the easy controls. I start slowing down about 2 miles from the station, usually because I'm doing 120 - 140mph, the faster you go the longer it takes to stop. But don't bring it to a full stop until you have the front 'drive car, and two coaches over the 'grey shaded' area representing the station stopping point.

The front of the 'drive loco should still be inside the 'green' marked area, but only just. Even if you have to shuffle backwards a bit, don't press the load passenger until you have come to a complete stop.

This worked for me, but like I said, I've only completed it once. Hope it helps. Good luck, this one can be a pain in the bum lol.
