Why is Dawn of Discovery not available for purchase?
This looks like an interesting game to play, but it isnt avalaible for purchase on steam. Anyone know if it will ever be on stock before I buy it from another site?

Its hasn't been available for purchase for a very long time and there are no signs of it returning. I'd just pick it up from another DD or get the gold edition retail. Its a great game.

Yes totally go for it with other retailer (you won't gain any bonuses on steam anyway as it's Ubisoft game) like gamersgate. I recently got into 1404 after 2070 but man, 1404 feels so nice to play...

Yeah I just wanted it on my steam library sine when I buy a game I like to keep them all in one place and that's steams.
Anyways before I pick it up whats the difference between Dawn of Discovery Gold Edition, and Venice? Is Venice the expansion or a stand alone game? Last edited by Ave07: 05-05-2012 at 08:25 AM. |

Bought it off Amazon and it came with Venice which is nice.

If you get the 1404 gold edition and do the 3.1 update you don't need a key or any activation. $19.99

The reason why it's no longer on Steam is because Ubisoft, for whatever reason, did not release the final patch for the game in North America. This conflicts with Steams policy that all game updates are required to be released for a game to be hosted on Steam. So therefore Steam pulled the game because Ubisoft refused to release the final patch.
