Why is TF2 so poorly coded?

Same with the OP, he only cares what happens on HIS computer, maybe he never defrags, maybe he has stuff running or skins on his game, he wants a solution for his game.

I don't ever crash. AND, actually it is not narrow-minded to not care about random dudes on the internet. I mean, who cares about other people here? or even in real life? Do you care about people passing down the street? Do you help them solve their problems?

How can you judge whether or not a game is poorly coded without being able to look at the source? Logic failure.

Sure, but OP implies he knows exactly what the problem is and that he could do a better job.

To be honest, if he never included the coding bit in the title, this flame war wouldn't have sparked. People would drop passing glances instead of running to defend Valve.

Seriously, leave the code arguement crap to the ACTUAL coders. I bet there are only 5 posters in this thread that genuinely know what it's like to code anything past 'Hello World'.

I've already been doing that. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to be locked into a time limit in how long I'm "allowed" to enjoy a game either. For this comparison to make any sense at all, before buying the car, I would have had to sign papers where I explicitly give the company my permission to do whatever the hell they want with my car even after I purchase it, with or without reason, whether that be upgrading it, painting it, or just flat out taking it away from me.
