Can't launch Stronghold 2

Ok, so I bought Stronghold Collection. Upon trying to start up Stronghold 2, it goes to the load screen with Sir William I believe it is, and when it is about 95% complete, the screen goes white, and a dialog box pops up saying:"Stronghold 2 has stopped working, checking for a solution"

It's hardly ever the specs with games 5+ years old.
