I don't believe so. Generally it's recommended to make a save state before the Joker fight so you can go get the rest of the collectable items. After Joker's down, that's the end of the game.

That's not true, you can just freeroam after the final boss. The only thing is that there aren't any enemies anymore.

This is correct you can free roam forever after the final boss fight the sky box changes a little outside but most areas with collectibles are still accessible.

Yes and even after some of the maps change like the botanic garden all areas are still accessible...
