Demo only 1 race

I downloaded and play the demo and there is only 1 race which is the figure 8 course. Is that normal for a 2.8gb download? I was expecting a few additional races and not just 1

Y not? Just play single player to unlock the multiplayer, no need to actually challenge someone.

I did that. It doesn't unlock anything. Says "challenge a friend to unlock multiplayer"

it's their ugly way of forcing you to spread the game to more people.

Then just send a challenge to a steam friend at the end of a single player race, no matter if he accepts the challenge or even has the showdown demo. You'll probably get an error but it should finally work.
