How many chapters in PORTAL 2 ?

8 Chapters, I don't consider chapter 9 and 10 to be real chapters because 9 is basically just one long cutscene and a really short boss fight, and 10 is credits. Each one of them should take you on average about 35-40 minutes, although the beginning chapters are really short and the later chapters can take you a lot of time.

necromancer, yes it is possible because im on chaper 8 and i think its been about 3 and a half hours

9 Chapters. There is a 10th chapter, but it is just the credits.

Oh, and custom maps are available. They are made in a program called 'Hammer'. BUT, on Tuesday, DLC is coming out. This DLC is another Map Creator, and it is A LOT easier than Hammer.
