Anyone who has spent some time in steam chats has probably seen something like this:
X is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. Y is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. Z is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. W is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. U is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. Z is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. W is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. Y is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. U is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. V is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. X is now playing Dota 2. Click here to join. Which wouldn't be that bad but most of the time even if the person is just joining a single game to play or spectate it sends anywhere from 2 to on some occasions I've seen 10+ messages. I think it might be worth looking into why most of the time there are several messages sent to chat, and give users the option to disable the messages in chat. |
