Recently, I was unable to access steam community page and workshop. These were inaccessible through the client as well as browser. It also took a long time to access the Store page as well. This just recently happened around May 3rd 2012.
Steps I took: 1) Ports were already opened that Steam requires 2) Bypassed router 3) Firewall & Anti Virus programs disabled I would greatly appreciate any form of help to resolve this matter. Thank you for your kind attention! Sincere Regards. ZG |

Encountering the same problem. Can't get to my Community page via Steam and through a browser as well. I've got 2 invites and have not been able to get to them. This is the Error Message I get when I try to go to the Community page on Steam
Error Code: -101 Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet. Btw this goes for the Store, News pages too.

I´m having the same problem.. it all started a couple of days ago... the Community page loaded fine but the Store and News section keeps loading and loading and eventually gives me that 101 error.
I deleted the clientregistryblob file, disabled the firewall and changed the "Download Region" server on "Settings" and now it looks like everything is working... the Community page is really slow now but... Last edited by phantasmov: 05-10-2012 at 05:00 PM. |

Well, I was suspecting that AVAST 7 has something to do with it but I´m having the same problem randomly using Firefox specially with the Community pages... when it works, the Steam app takes longer than usual to load the same pages anyway. The downloads (updates, games) are working fine though. Maybe is a regional /manteinance issue? I´m from south america.

I've sent in a support ticket regarding this, though in all aspects, Steam Support is already looking into this.
I've been having the same problem for a whole month now (that's 31 days) so yeah, it would be great if it could get solved soon, though all we can do now is wait and hope that they can identify the problem quickly. |
