DOOM 11 masters levels, the 'player' will not move
I can get into the game the monsters move and shoot, the player can shoot but is glued to one spot. I can turn around 360 degrees but not move off the spot. I've asked Doom support and they have advised me to email the game provider, but not sure if they will respond. Anyone any ideas what to do? This has happened on several occasions whilst playing other Doom games, the player gets stuck, but by closing and re-loading DOOM would sort the problem - i've tried this with the master's levels but it does not work.
I also did not obtain all the DOOM 11 levels, it was missing game 27/8/9 31 and 32. Can these be retrieved in any way - I have not had a response yet from Steam regarding this issue? Thanks |

Oh sorry, I thought there was some Doom mod I had missed.
![]() Have you verified your game cache? Are you playing the vanilla DosBox version that Steam provides or are you playing the game using a Source port like I and many others do? We just use Steam as a legit source for our Wad files. Then download and use the source port of choice. Though I personally use The Doomsday Engine there are several other great ports (everyone has their own favorite) to choose from. Some keep the game vanilla others add some features of newer games to the mix and better screen resolutions.

1) Use a source port
2) Try setting up the controls first

If you want to use ZDoom/GZDoom, then just unpack the source port to a new empty folder anywhere on your HDD and run the .exe file inside it. It will find Steam Doom 2's files automatically.

DOOM 11? Haha, I wish. (Although if they would all have been as meh as DOOM 3 maybe it's better they didn't make any more. (As for DOOM 4, we'll see...))
