Source Mods Shut Down Computer Mid-Game

Alright, I've been having this weird problem with Source Mods that Google won't help with.
Basically, if I play a mod for about 10-30 minutes, suddenly my computer just crashes, completely shut off, only turning back on when I hit the power button. It does not happen during official Valve games or games on other engines (Battlefront II, Arkham Asylum, Bioshock II.)
My computer has a Gigabyte 9800 GT graphics card and an AMD Athlon 5200 Dual Core at 2.71 GHz. The mods I play include CUBE, Ground Complex, Minerva, Missing Information, and Research and Development.
Suggestions? Any other info you need from me?

check inside your case and look for dust on the fans.
a shut down sounds like a heating problem.
