I'll admit, I've owned it almost since it first came out, but I'd only gotten about halfway through the tutorial until now. It's not SPAZ's fault- I just have too many games. I went and tried Starfarer which is similar but only in Alpha, and then I thought I'd come back and give SPAZ another shot. So far I'm really liking it this time around. One thing you guys should add to the pros is the extensive tutorial and good approachability. Some other games I have that are similar to this just throw you into the mix and don't even wish you luck lol

I was like that too BeefyMcChzSauce, but I had played Starscape before. My mindset was on space games where like you had to do this, at this time, etc in order to succeed in the galaxy. When I gave it enough time, like 3 or 4 2 hour plays, I began to discover that it was totally relaxed and all the minmax games were done in house to bring me the awesome. Now I find myself at 60 hours, and I get up early to play 1 hour every morning before going to work xD

Honestly I have to say this is a great game. If you are a Shoot'em Up fan then you will enjoy this. If you play Stardust on the Vita because it is the only game worthwhile then you'll find this is better. If you liked MoO II but thought it was too slow then this game is for you.
I really like SPAZ and even though I don't play it everyday, I think that I would buy the sequel in a heart beat with no trailer and just an announcement with a pre-order link. |

100% worth $10, more even.
A friend bought me it a fair while ago along with a copy for himself and since then I've bought it for a couple of other people. Folks with pretty different gaming tastes seem to enjoy it equally which is pretty cool (makes me which it had mp). I didn't play it for a while and I came back to a galaxy home to badass bounty hunters :O Thats pretty awesome, it really is a well supported game. To anyone reading who has not yet bought it, just buy it already :P |

I am enjoying this game immensely however I wish there was more. For anyone wondering, this game is amazing, entertaining, action packed, interesting and well worth it. The devs support it and constantly update it, it also has a great following.

I had ignored the game when it was on sale because of its name (yes, that's shallow, I know, but the whole zombie thing is so overdone and a bit of a turn off!), but when it came up in a discussion, it sounded really nice -- so I picked it up at the full price.
And I'm having a blast! Very much worth the asking price (also proper $ -> € conversion, thumbs up!) and definitely the type of game very few devs make anymore today. It's the kind of solid, hands-on fun I had 25+ years ago with games and that I find really hard to come by these days. (And sometimes I think that is because I was a teenager then and not a grumpy old fart, but nope, it's often because of the way games have changed. Okay, and a little bit because I'm a grumpy old fart.) |
